Thorough cooking for safer meals

• Fresh food
  All our fresh food recipes are gently cooked to reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F, the magic number needed to eliminate harmful pathogens that might cause tummy troubles or get your cat sick. It’s a perfect balance—enough heat to protect your cat’s health but gentle enough to preserve as much of the yummy flavors and essential nutrients your cat can’t get enough of.

• Freeze-dried Puffs
  Our freeze-dried recipes undergo a two-step drying and pasteurization process, maintaining a minimum internal temperature of 167°F to eliminate harmful pathogens while preserving as many nutrients as possible.

• Smalls Broth
  Our broth products are slow-cooked and simmered at a minimum temperature of 255°F, eliminating harmful pathogens. Better yet, this slow-cooking method locks in that enticing aroma and flavor cats love—so every slurp is as delicious as it’s safe.

Ensuring our recipes are safe isn’t only about cooking to the right temperature. It’s also about keeping every part of the process clean, hygienic, and closely monitored from start to finish. Since we cook and package our food in federally inspected facilities, we rely on strict sanitary and sourcing protocols that help ensure no sick animals ever enter our supply chain to begin with. Our gently cooked, fresh food facilities are also inspected daily by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration). By working with trusted suppliers and following these strict standards, we can protect the quality of our food and your cat’s well-being in every bite.
